Our Manufacturing
Process

A logical and transparent process designed to bring your game idea to life — eliminating errors, maximising communication, and delivering the highest quality result at every stage.

Step 1

Request A Quote

Getting a quote from Eastar is easy and fast. Register for an account, provide basic information about your game, and submit a list of your components following our specification guidelines. Minimum order quantity is 1,500 units.

You can also request an optional consultation with an Eastar Project Manager — they’ll answer every question, refine your specifications, and can even provide quotes for multiple versions such as retail and Kickstarter editions.

Project Managers handle much more than pricing. They guide you on materials, component choices, and art layout — from beginning to end, so you always feel confident.

01

Step 02

Design Verification

The foundation of a great game is properly prepared design files. A dedicated Eastar prepress specialist reviews your print files to ensure they meet our design guidelines and your artistic vision — before production begins.

You can begin Design Verification before signing a contract, getting your project moving as quickly as possible. Our tools and resources ensure you upload trouble-free files every time.

Our plastics engineers can analyse your 2D designs, suggest improvements, and identify minor tweaks that could save you hundreds or thousands of dollars in production.

02

Step 03

Pre-Production

Once files and designs are approved, we produce your Pre-Production Copy (PPC) — a near-final quality prototype of all printed components: box, rules, cards, gameboard, tokens, and more. We air-ship it to you at no extra cost.

We also provide free samples of all plastic, wood, metal, dice, and non-printed components so you have a complete version to evaluate alongside your Project Manager on a dedicated video call.

03

Step 04

Mass Production

Once the PPC is approved, our factory teams go into full action — printing cards, boards and boxes, engraving dice, crafting wood tokens, building miniatures, and much more. When nearly complete, we air-ship you a Mass Production Copy (MPC) for final review.

The MPC is your final quality checkpoint before assembly. You and your Project Manager review it together on a video call to confirm every detail is perfect.

04

Step 05

Assembly

Once the MPC is approved, our dedicated quality control team assembles your games — inspecting every single component to ensure it’s complete and correct before going in the box. All Eastar games ship with our industry-leading 1% defect-free promise.

We also include spare parts, accessories, and replacement components in your shipment so you always have extras on hand for your backers and retail customers.

05

Step 06

Shipping

Once assembled, we create customised cartons and carton markings to package and protect your finished games. We then organise your shipping — whether you manage it yourself or use our dedicated shipping agent for a true door-to-door global service.

We partner with experienced global shipping providers and can ship your games anywhere — by air, ocean, or land — depending on your budget and timeline.

No matter where your games are going or how they get there, Eastar ensures they arrive safely, on time, every single time.
